more ontario wine

Today is the middle. I'm away from work. I've almost finished all the painting, house cleaning, gardening... for now, and I'm at that half-way point that happens in every vacation where I'll start to anticipate the end, the going back to work and having my days structured. From where I sit now though, that time is just a barely discernible dot on the horizon. Looming, but not quite in focus.

And today is as good a day as any to drink more Ontario wine.

Dave picked up this blend of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay made by the good people at Malivoire Wine. It gets some round texture, ripe tree fruit and a little pineapple and nutmeg from the Chardonnay balanced by citrus and finishing acidity from the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. A great whatever you happen to be in the middle of wine ($14.95). It's so good I'm going to buy a case this weekend for middle of the month entertaining.

Oh and, it went well with...

Pesto smeared arctic char. Thanks Lisa!
